Old Town Alexandria Welcomes Goodies Frozen Custard & Treats

On Saturday, Goodies Frozen Custard and Treats distributed sundaes shakes and treats to a line of hungry customers wrapped around the historic Ice House at 200 Commerce St. The owner Brandon Byrd and his business partner Rozell Moore operates out of a vintage, restored 1952 postal service van. The Goodies food truck currently has pop-up locations at Eastern Market in D.C. and outside of the Ice House in Alexandria. Carlyle Neighborhood Welcomes Bank Of America’s Branch

Bank of America opened its newest Alexandria location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on February 20, 2020, inside the newly opened financial center in the heart of Alexandria’s Carlyle neighborhood. The new branch is located at John Carlyle St. It is Bank of America’s 10th financial center in the Alexandria/Springfield market and fourth in Alexandria proper. Annual Chairman’s Community Reception Held January 30 By Alexandria Chamber of Commerce

The annual Chairman’s Community Reception was held Jan. 30 at the National Industries for the Blind headquarters in Potomac Yard where The Alexandria Chamber of Commerce celebrated Dave Millard as its 2020 board chairman. Millard, who takes over from 2019 board chair Charlotte Hall said, “The Chamber has never been better.
