Freedom House Museum is located in the basement level of one of the most infamous slave trading companies in the country at 1315 Duke Street. Take A Tour Of Carlyle House Historic Park
The Carlyle House is a Georgian manor house built in 1753 by Scottish merchant and city founder John Carlyle for his bride, Sarah Fairfax of Belvoir. It was here that five royal governors and British General Braddock met to discuss funding of the French and Indian War.
